Udaipur, August 7, 2026: Narayan Seva Sansthan organised a Shiv Bhakti Katha during the holy month of Shravan, where the institution’s President Prashant Agarwal narrated the story of King Sagar, Bhagirath’s penance and the descent of the River Ganga to Earth. He said Bhagirath’s life is an inspiring example of patience, determination and selfless efforts for public welfare.
Addressing the gathering, Agarwal said that if people rise above personal interests and dedicate themselves to the welfare of society and humanity, many seemingly impossible tasks can become possible.

Prashant Agarwal said Bhagirath performed rigorous penance to ensure the salvation of King Sagar’s descendants. His unwavering determination led to the descent of Goddess Ganga to Earth, while Lord Shiva received the mighty river in his matted locks to control its powerful flow.
