Chetak Corps Conducts Swachhata Abhiyan

Jaipur : Indian Army troops conducted a “Swachhata Abhiyan” across various military stations within the chetak corps zone to commemorate 154th birth anniversary of father of the Nation. Over time, Bathinda Military Station has been impacted largely by the use of single -use plastic, which poses significant environmental challenges.

As a tribute to Father of the Nation, Indian Army, in collaboration with local authorities, initiated steps to make Bathinda military station a plastic free zone. The event was marked by a pledge-taking ceremony, when all participants vowed to support has Swachhata mission by eliminating Single use plastic.

This initiative was followed by an extensive cleanliness drive consisting of all army personnel. The coordinated effort showcased Army’s commitment to environmental conservation and social responsibility. With the active participants of military personnel, the event aimed at ensuring that Bathinda becomes a modal for cleanliness and sustainability, ultimately contributing to a larger goal of creating a plastic-free environment.
