Udaipur, January 30 (Udaipur Kiran): The Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) department has conducted raids on premises linked to Congress leader Dinesh Khodaniya, who is considered close to former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. According to available information, CGST teams reached the KR Arihant premises in Dabok on Thursday afternoon. During the operation, officials questioned several individuals and seized documents from the office.

Dinesh Khodaniya has earlier served as the Congress district president in Dungarpur and is also a member of the All India Congress Committee. His business interests are linked to jewellery and real estate, with operations spread across Sagwara and other areas.

The Khodania Group is reportedly managed by his son, Adish Khodaniya. Earlier, in December 2024, the Enforcement Directorate had carried out searches at his residence and office in Sagwara, Dungarpur district. Prior to that, on October 13, 2023, the ED had also raided his Sagwara office following his name being linked to the paper leak case and former RPSC member Babulal Katara.

The controversy relates to alleged irregularities during the previous Gehlot government concerning corruption and paper leak cases linked to the Rajasthan Public Service Commission. Dinesh Khodaniya’s name has surfaced in this matter, and the Special Operations Group is stated to have key information related to the case.

In connection with the RPSC paper leak and corruption case, the SOG had earlier arrested Babulal Katara. During interrogation, Katara allegedly accused Khodaniya of collusion, claiming that a deal worth ₹1.20 crore was discussed for facilitating his appointment as an RPSC member. It was further alleged that an initial amount of ₹40 lakh was paid to one of Khodania’s associates.
