Doha, March 9: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a new circular regarding the Class 12 board examinations scheduled to take place in Qatar from March 12. The Indian Embassy in Qatar has announced that, in light of the current situation in the Gulf region, the exams at affiliated schools in Doha will be postponed from March 12 to March 16.
The board stated that new dates will be announced soon. A review of the situation will take place on March 14, and decisions regarding papers scheduled after March 16 will be made then. Students are advised to stay in contact with their respective schools for further updates and to closely follow official announcements while ignoring rumors.
Previously, on March 7, a circular was released concerning the Class 12 board exams in the GCC countries, informing that exams would be postponed in Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE due to the ongoing crisis in the Middle East.
The advisory noted that after a serious review of the current situation in parts of the Middle East, the board decided to postpone exams for Class 12 scheduled for March 9, 10, and 11, 2026. Another circular was issued on March 3, announcing the decision to halt the exams. According to the information released by the board, all CBSE board exams for Classes 10 and 12 scheduled for March 5 and 6 have also been postponed in these Middle Eastern countries.
Thus, the CBSE has continuously reviewed the situation, issuing notices to postpone and cancel exams on March 1, 3, 5, and 7.
