Udaipur, March 9, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran) : An elderly man was allegedly abducted and assaulted by unidentified miscreants in broad daylight in the Badgaon police station area of Udaipur, creating panic in the locality. After the incident, the victim somehow managed to return home and informed his family, following which a complaint was lodged with the police.

According to information, the victim, Rama Gameti, was working outside his house when three to four men arrived in a car. The accused allegedly began assaulting him without any provocation and forcibly pushed him into the vehicle, abducting him from the spot.
Family members rushed outside after hearing his cries for help, but by the time they reached, the car had already left the area.
The accused allegedly beat him severely and threatened to kill him. After travelling some distance, they reportedly left him at a deserted location. Rama Gameti then managed to return home and narrated the incident to his family members.
Following the incident, Rama Gameti and his relatives went to Badgaon police station and submitted a written complaint against the unidentified attackers. Police have registered a case and started an investigation to trace the accused.
Sources said that Rama Gameti owns around three bighas of land, which is allegedly being eyed by land mafias. It is being claimed that the miscreants had been troubling him for several days. Gameti has two sons and reportedly does not want to sell his land, while the land mafia allegedly wants to take possession of it.
