BTP supporters take out rally without permission, attack cops in Udaipur village

Udaipur : Supporters of the Bharatiya Tribal Party resorted to hooliganism on Monday and created commotion on the main road when they were stopped for taking out a rally in support of the party candidate in Kherwada constituency. The party had not attained legal permission from the authorities and when the cops tried to deter them,  they pelted stones and hit the police jeep with another vehicle. According to sources the SDM instructed the Pahada police  to prevent a rally being organized by the BTP because they had not taken due permission for the same. The cops stopped the procession which had reached Mahudi village. Supporters of the BTP candidate Pravin Parmar were irked by the interference and they took up a fight. They pelted stones at the cops who ran and took shelter into nearby shops to save themselves. More than half dozen persons were injured. By the time additional forces arrived at the spot, the miscreants had fled.
