Here we inform you about one of these big changes (new rules from August 1, 2024) that can affect you directly from the kitchen to your wallet.The deadline for the free Aadhaar update is fast approaching.
UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) has this facility to update all Aadhaar related data for free (free online update of Aadhaar card) up to 3 months i.e. h. from June 14, 2024, extended to 9-14 months. Use this free service and then renew Aadhaar online until September 14, 2024 (Aadhaar Card Online Renewal). Otherwise, you will have to pay the fee later.
Please note in particular that the free Aadhaar update is only available via online update. If you want to access Aadhaar Seva Kendra and update Aadhaar, you will have to pay the relevant fees.
Gas cylinder price (LPG price)
Normally, the government changes the price of LPG on the first of every month. The government changes the price of commercial gas cylinders to LPG every month. In this situation, consumers should also prepare for possible price changes for LPG cylinders in September. Suppress fake calls
To curb the rise in fake calls and spam messages, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) is introducing new rules from September 1, 2024. TRAI has issued strict guidelines for telecom companies. TRAI has asked telecom companies to migrate telemarketing calls and commercial messages from 140 series mobile numbers to blockchain-based DLT (Distributed Laser Technology Platform) by September 30.
By September 30, telemarketing services will be gradually transitioned to a blockchain-based system. This increases security and minimizes unwanted calls and messages. This measure is a big step against wire transfer fraud and further protects consumers from fraud.
New credit card rules
Credit card rules are also changing in September, particularly when it comes to rewards points and payment plans. HDFC Bank limits reward points on utility bill transactions, which means cardholders earn fewer reward points when paying for services like electricity and water.
Additionally, IDFC First Bank is updating its payment program and the timing and method of payment processing may change. Therefore, it is important for credit card users to monitor these changes to avoid losing reward points or fees.
DA goes
Central government employees could see a 3% increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) in September this year. Currently, government employees receive 50% Dearness Allowance (DA). This means it could rise from 50% to 53% next month.
