Udaipur . Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar on Wednesday visited the Vanvasi Kalyan Parishad hostel for tribal children in Kherwada, Udaipur. Akshay Kumar had provided financial assistance for the construction of this hostel. He came to fulfill his promise after the hostel was completed and started operating, and met the children. He performed aarti with the children and saw their notebooks.
Jagdish Prasad Joshi, Vice President of Rajasthan Vanvasi Kalyan Parishad, said that Akshay Kumar had provided financial assistance of one crore rupees for the construction of the Hari Om Hostel built by Vanvasi Kalyan Parishad in Khokhadra, Kherwada. He reached there and performed puja-archana-aarti with the children. The children were overjoyed to see Akshay Kumar among them. The children also took photos with Akshay Kumar.
Laluram, State Convener of Janjati Suraksha Manch, said that on Wednesday morning at around 8:30 am, preparations were being made for the regular aarti when suddenly a convoy of several vehicles arrived there. Everyone was surprised. Everyone started wondering where and why so many vehicles had come to the hostel together. Suddenly, everyone’s eyes fell on Akshay Kumar who got out of the car. Then what was there, the children were overjoyed to see him. Akshay had not told anyone about his program. He had come to surprise the children. He spent time with the children there. He introduced himself to the children. He played a lot with them. After that, he saw the children’s copies. He asked them questions. Akshay also understood the children’s point of view and took a lot of selfies. He also clicked a group photo with the children.
Akshay stayed in the hostel for about 15 minutes. During this time, he came to know that the aarti was about to start. He also stayed for the aarti and participated in the aarti. He also sang the ‘Om Jai Jagdish Hare’ aarti with the children.
Nanalal Ahari, former MLA of Kherwada, said that Akshay Kumar has now announced to donate one crore rupees for the construction of a girls’ hostel in the same area. For this, he asked the office bearers of Vanvasi Kalyan Parishad to start looking for land so that the hostel can be constructed.
A year ago, Akshay had provided financial assistance for the construction of the Vanvasi Kalyan Parishad hostel and building here. It has been named Rajasthan Vanvasi Kalyan Parishad Hari Om Ashram Hostel. Currently, 25 children live in the hostel. On Wednesday, Akshay Kumar left his busy shooting schedule to come here and has now announced a donation of one crore for the girls’ hostel. Social worker Vimalkotari, district president of the council Kantilal Khardi and ashram head Ishwarlal were also present during this time.
