Jaipur, May 5, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran): The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested Pithdan Charan, Assistant Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Didwana-Kuchaman, while allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹1,00,000.

Acting on directions from ACB headquarters, the Ajmer unit carried out a trap operation and caught the accused red-handed while taking the bribe from the complainant in exchange for deciding a notice in his favour.
Director General of Police, ACB, Govind Gupta said that a complaint was received alleging that the accused had demanded ₹1,00,000 to favourably decide notices issued under the Rajasthan Cooperative Societies Act, 2001 (as amended in 2016), including allegations of misappropriation dated April 1 and April 15, 2026.
Following verification of the complaint, the trap was laid under the supervision of DIG Narayan Togas. The operation was conducted by Inspector Narendra Singh Rathore along with the ACB team, leading to the arrest of the accused while accepting the bribe amount.
Further questioning and legal proceedings are ongoing under the supervision of Additional Director General of Police Smita Srivastava and Inspector General S. Parimala. A case has been registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act, and further investigation is underway.
