In the Super-4 stage match at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday night, India secured a six-wicket victory with seven balls to spare.

Chasing Pakistan’s target of 172 runs, India reached 174/4 in just 18.5 overs. Young opener Abhishek Sharma stole the show with a blistering knock of 74 runs off 39 balls, hitting 5 sixes and 6 fours, earning him the Player of the Match award. Vice-captain Shubman Gill added a quick 47 off 28 balls with 8 boundaries, while Tilak Varma sealed the win with an unbeaten 30 off 19 balls, including 2 sixes and 2 fours.
For Pakistan, Haris Rauf picked up two wickets, while Abrar Ahmed and Faheem Ashraf claimed one each.
Earlier, batting first after losing the toss, Pakistan posted 171/5 in 20 overs. Sahibzada Farhan top-scored with 58 runs off 45 balls, while skipper Salman Agha (17*), Faheem Ashraf (20* off 8 balls), and Saim Ayub (21) made useful contributions.
Among Indian bowlers, Shivam Dube was the most successful with figures of 2/33 from his 4 overs. Kuldeep Yadav and Hardik Pandya chipped in with a wicket each.
With this win, India have made a strong start in the Super-4 stage, taking a significant step towards the finals of the Asia Cup 2025.
