Australia Announces ODI and T20 Teams with Major Changes

New Delhi, November 2: Australia has announced its One Day International (ODI) and T20 teams for the upcoming series against England, featuring significant changes and the inclusion of several new faces. Mahli Beardman and Oliver Peake have been named in the ODI squad, which will host England for three ODIs and five T20Is starting November 13 in Perth. This series could see eight players making their international debuts on home soil.
In addition to Beardman and Peake, the ODI team includes pace bowler Liam Scott and all-rounder Jack Edwards. The T20 squad features Nikhil Chaudhary and Joel Davis alongside Beardman and Edwards, while wicketkeepers Lachlan Shaw and Sam Harper may also debut in the T20 series.
The ODI team is captained by Mitchell Marsh and includes players such as Javier Bartlett, Alex Carey, Cameron Green, and Adam Zampa. The T20 team, also led by Marsh, comprises players like Tim David, Nathan Ellis, and Jake Fraser-McGurk.
The inclusion of new players comes as Australia opts to rest premier pace bowlers Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, and Josh Hazlewood after a recent Test series. With ten Tests scheduled in the coming months, the team aims to keep its key players fresh.
The ODI series schedule is as follows:
First match: November 13 in Perth
Second match: November 15 in Adelaide
Third match: November 18 in Hobart
The T20 series will kick off with the first match on November 21 in Melbourne, followed by subsequent matches in Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sydney, and concluding on December 2 in Manuka.
