Jaipur, 15 December (Udaipur Kiran) — Acting on instructions from the ACB Headquarters, the Anti-Corruption Bureau, Bhilwara-II, on Monday arrested Dr. Pankaj Chhipa, Medical Officer at Keshav Porwal Hospital, Bhilwara, for allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹11 lakh.

Director General of ACB, Police Officer Govind Gupta, said the bureau had received a complaint stating that the accused was demanding bribe money from the complainant — the operator of Shri Siddhi Vinayak Hospital, Bhilwara. The complaint alleged that Dr. Chhipa sought illegal gratification for not issuing notices related to irregularities under the Mukhyamantri Ayushman Arogya Yojana, for “settling” issues, and for clearing bills under the scheme.
On 15 December 2025, the complainant was sent to the accused for verification of the bribe demand. During this process, Dr. Chhipa allegedly demanded ₹9.50 lakh for a senior doctor, Dr. Kuldeep, and ₹1.50 lakh for himself.
Under the supervision of Ajmer Range ACB Superintendent of Police Mahaveer Singh Ranawat, a trap was laid by ACB Bhilwara-II. Led by Inspector Narpat Singh Charan, the team caught Dr. Chhipa red-handed while accepting ₹2 lakh in genuine currency notes and ₹9 lakh in dummy notes, totalling ₹11 lakh, as per the agreed bribe amount.
Additional Director General of ACB, Smita Srivastava, is supervising further questioning and investigation. A case has been registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act, and the ACB will pursue additional investigation in the matter.
