Udaipur : Nine young men and women have been arrested for cheating thousands of rupees from youths by promising them jobs. The accused used to call their acquaintances and cheat them in the name of membership of a fake networking company.

Modus Operandi:
The accused would call their acquaintances and promise them a job in Udaipur. Once the victims arrived in Udaipur, they were taken to the office of a fake networking company called ECR MPL Private Limited. The victims were given training in the company’s online selling work. In the name of a job, the victims were charged Rs 59,922. The victims were then told that they would have to recruit more members for the company to get a commission.
Police Action:
Based on a complaint filed by Vishnu Kumar Chaupdar, a resident of Baran, the police investigated the matter. Nine young men and women were arrested in connection with the case. The company owner is currently absconding.

- Ashok son of Devanath, resident of Pali
- Karan son of Mahipal, resident of Dungarpur
- Kamlesh son of Dalia, resident of Banswara
- Ravi son of Chandresh Sharma, resident of Hisar
