Banswara : In a major action under the NDPS Act, the Banswara Police has arrested a constable of its own department along with his wife.

SP Harshvardhan Agarwal said: The police received a call from the SHO of Guda Endla police station in Pali district, informing them that a bus bearing registration number RJ 21 PA 6465 was coming from Banswara to Jodhpur. Illegal doda-chura was recovered from the possession of the bus conductor Shravan Beniwal, a resident of Bajju in Bikaner. He had brought the goods from Constable Sunil Vishnoi of Banswara.
On the basis of this information: Banswara Police DSP Suryaveer Singh led a team to the constable’s quarters near GPO Circle. During the search, 22.190 kg doda-chura and 2.180 kg powder were recovered from there. The constable’s wife Guddi was arrested for storing this material. The constable was not present at the spot.
It was informed: That he had gone to Mandsaur in Madhya Pradesh. A team was sent there. From there, Constable Sunil along with his associates Sahiram, Kaluram and Mukesh Bairagi, all residents of Godavas Kala, were arrested and brought to the police station. Interrogation of the accused is underway in the case.
