Vivo is gearing up to launch the Vivo Y500 Pro in mid-November in China, according to a new leak by tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo. The upcoming smartphone will be the first Y-series phone from Vivo to feature a 200-megapixel camera, marking a major leap in imaging capabilities for the brand’s mid-range lineup.
The highlight of the Vivo Y500 Pro will be its 200MP Samsung HP5 sensor, the same high-end sensor used as the periscope telephoto camera in the flagship Find X9 Pro. This means the Y500 Pro is expected to deliver a flagship-level photography experience despite being positioned as a mid-range device.
Digital Chat Station also mentioned that the Y500 Pro will focus on practicality and durability, targeting users who prefer performance, reliability, and a premium design in everyday use.
The Y500 Pro is rumoured to share similarities with the recently launched Vivo V60e, which also features the same 200MP Samsung HP5 sensor.
