Vishnuyagya Concludes with Grand Consecration of Kirti Stambh at Badodia

BADODIA (BANSWARA), June 28, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran) : A two-day Shri Vishnuyagya and newly constructed Kirti Stambh Pratishtha Mahotsav concluded on Saturday with devotion, faith and Vedic traditions at Shri Vishwakarma Temple premises in Badodia. The event was jointly organized by Samast Gujarati Mewada Suthar Samaj, Badodia, and Shri Vishwakarma Seva Sansthan.

A large number of devotees gathered at the temple from the morning on the second day of the event. Amid Vedic chants, conch shell sounds and sacred hymns, the Vishnuyagya concluded with Purnahuti, while the newly built Kirti Stambh was consecrated through Vedic rituals. The entire temple premises remained immersed in a spiritual atmosphere throughout the programme.

Under the guidance of Pandit Kapil Shastri and co-acharyas Pandit Hariom Pathak and Pandit Rahul, the Purnahuti ceremony was performed. Yajmans offered the final oblations while praying for world peace, prosperity of society and public welfare. A Mahapujan and Maha Aarti were held after the completion of the ritual.

The newly constructed Kirti Stambh emerged as the main attraction of the festival. The 27-foot-high and 187-kilogram stainless steel structure was worshipped and ceremonially anointed by Hemant Sharma and Ranjana Sharma. The Kirti Stambh was then consecrated according to Vedic traditions.

Prior to the consecration, rituals including Jaladhivas, Dhanyadhivas, Grah Shanti, Kutir Hom and other Vedic ceremonies were performed. A grand Mahasnapan of the Kirti Stambh was conducted using 81 sacred Kalash filled with divine medicinal ingredients. The consecration was completed during an auspicious muhurat amid Vedic chanting. A ceremonial flag hoisting was also performed on the newly consecrated Kirti Stambh. Devotees welcomed the occasion with flower showers and chants of victory.

During the festival, special worship, abhishek and decoration of the idols of Lord Vishwakarma, Lord Ganesha, Vedmata Gayatri, Shiv Darbar and Lord Hanuman were carried out. Devotees offered prayers for the well-being and prosperity of their families and society. The musical Sundarkand recital held on Friday night created a devotional atmosphere, while a large gathering of devotees attended the Maha Aarti on Saturday.

Presidents and office-bearers of all seven Chokhlas of the Suthar community, along with community members from different regions, participated in the event, reflecting unity and religious traditions. Guests and community members were also felicitated by the temple committee.

Yajmans Leelaram Bhuraji Sharma and Shanta Devi, Dr Kamlesh Sharma and Bhavana Sharma, Hiralal Suthar and Manjula Devi, and Dinesh Suthar and Santosh Devi offered oblations during the Purnahuti ceremony. Chandramohan Suthar and Veena Devi performed the Maha Aarti.

Young volunteers of the community played a significant role in managing various arrangements of the festival. Under the guidance of Leelaram Sharma and Premshankar Suthar, Jayprakash Suthar, Praveen Dhulji Suthar, Jagdish Sharma, Narayanlal Suthar, Ghanshyam, Hemant Sharma, Bhupesh Sharma, Jitendra, Deepak Suthar, Vaibhav, Lokesh, Bhuvan, Girish and Anit, along with many others, successfully handled temple decoration, Yagyashala arrangements, reception, parking, Mahaprasadi and other activities.

Following the consecration ceremony and Maha Aarti, thousands of devotees from across the region participated in the Mahaprasadi. The temple committee and community members ensured smooth arrangements for food, drinking water, seating and other facilities.

Shri Vishwakarma Seva Sansthan President Suresh Bhuralalji Suthar expressed gratitude to all yajmans, acharyas, presidents of the seven Chokhlas, Mahila Mandal members, youth volunteers, donors and devotees for making the festival successful. He said the unity and cooperation of the community helped make the Pratishtha Mahotsav historic and memorable.
