Two Workers Killed in Blast at Plastic Recycling Factory in Udaipur

Udaipur, May 28 (Udaipur Kiran) – Two workers died in a tragic accident after a machine exploded at a plastic and scrap recycling factory in the Pratap Nagar police station area of Udaipur.

According to police, the incident occurred at Mahi Enterprises located in the Madri Industrial Area, where scrap material, plastic sacks and carry bags are recycled through machinery. Two labourers were working on the machine when it suddenly broke apart with a loud explosion due to a suspected technical fault.

Both workers suffered serious injuries in the incident. One worker died on the spot, while the other succumbed to injuries while being taken to hospital.

After receiving information, Pratap Nagar SHO Puran Singh Rajpurohit reached the spot along with police personnel and inspected the accident site.

The deceased were identified as Madhu, son of Rama Meena, resident of Bahundiya Gogunda, and Bhanwar Singh, son of Indra Singh, resident of Badundiya Gogunda.

Police said the bodies have been kept in the mortuary and the families of the deceased have been informed. Postmortem will be conducted on Thursday after the arrival of family members.
