
Udaipur : In two separate incidents that took place in the past 24 hours, two women died after being swept away in rain water rivulet in Pratapgarh district on sunday, their bodies were found on Monday morning.
In Kanpur village under Suhagpura police station area, two sisters Seema (16) and Surja Meena (20) who were crossing a road overflowing with water were swept away suddenly by strong water currents. Seema got stuck between branches of a tree and hence escaped while Surja’s body was recovered some 2 kms away from the spot.
Seema is hospitalized and her condition is said to be stable now while police pulled out the body of her sister and shifted it to mortuary. In Devgarh , a 22 year old woman was drowned similarly when water washed her away. The body was located 3 kms away which was taken for autopsy and later given to relatives.
