Gopalganj, May 17: A young man in Bihar’s Motihari district paid the ultimate price for visiting his married girlfriend. The police have launched an investigation into the murder.
The incident occurred in the Majholia village of the Gopalganj district. The victim has been identified as Badal Singh, a 23-year-old resident of Jakhra village in the Govindganj police area of Motihari.
Reports indicate that Badal visited his married girlfriend’s home late Saturday night. The girl’s family caught the couple in the act and allegedly beat him to death after holding him captive. Upon receiving the news, the police from the Mahammadpur station arrived at the scene and sent the body for post-mortem at the Gopalganj Sadar Hospital.
According to information, Badal had gone to the girl’s house at her invitation. The police have detained the girlfriend and her mother for questioning. The accused girlfriend is married and has a child; she has been living with her parents due to issues in her marriage.
An FSL team has been called to the scene to collect evidence scientifically. The police stated that they are investigating all angles of the case. Initially, the love affair is being considered the primary motive for the murder, but a complete revelation will only be possible after the investigation concludes.
SDPO Rajesh Kumar mentioned on Sunday that the police are thoroughly examining the case from all perspectives and will soon disclose the findings and apprehend the culprits.
