Police finds android mobile from gangster Anandpal’s brother in Udaipur central jail

Udaipur : In a surprise search held by the police in central jail here on Sunday, the cops have seized an android phone from the custody of gangster Anandpal’s brother Rupinder Pal alias Vicky. Police has also found 13 other phones, ear plugs and chargers from different barracks and mess. 

According to sources, six phones were found from the mess, some of the prisoners had hidden the handsets inside rice and sugar sacks kept for the ration. In the wards, the phones had been hidden inside beddings, holes dug in the walls and even flooring. 

SP Kailash chandra Bishnoi told the media that the raid was held after getting complaints of threatening calls from prisoners inside Udaipur jail. As large as a team of 250 personnel held the raid and held a checking of all the prison inmates including Vicky who is lodged in the high security ward here and found from his custody an android phone. Police would seek details of every message and calls made from his phone to other numbers as the officers suspect Vicky could be operating a gang from inside the jail.

 Police has seized all the mobiles and is seeking call record details to know who have been using the phones. Vicky was arrested on a complaint from the Ajmer jail superintendent in a case when he attacked a police officer Suryaveer Singh who had gone to arrest him on production warrant. Vicky had attacked the officer inside the jailor’s room which has shocked the authorities.
