Udaipur : The people of Udaipur have got relief from the jam at Pratapnagar square and Balicha bypass. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) started traffic on one lane of the bypass from Debari to Kaya on Friday.
NHAI started the construction of the bypass from Debari to Kaya to relieve people from the daily jam caused by the movement of heavy vehicles in Udaipur city. Meanwhile, due to the increasing traffic pressure on the Chittorgarh-Udaipur highway and the expansion of the population from Pratapnagar to Debari, vehicles started to jam at Pratapnagar square day and night.
It took more than 20-25 minutes for people coming from Debari to get out of the jam in Pratapnagar. In the event of an ambulance getting stuck in the jam, the lives of the serious patients lying inside were at stake. Former District Collector Tarachand Meena regularly inspected the under-construction bypass and directed NHAI officials to complete the work without delay.
As a result, traffic was started on one lane of the Debari-Kaya bypass on Friday. Along with the relief from the heavy jam at Pratapnagar square and the traffic pressure from Balicha bypass, people felt a lot of relief.
