New Delhi, March 1: The T20 World Cup 2026 will witness a match between South Africa and Zimbabwe on Sunday at the Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium in New Delhi. The match is scheduled to take place from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. To manage the influx of spectators, special traffic arrangements will be in effect from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The police administration has announced traffic diversions and restrictions around the stadium for security and public convenience.
Traffic diversions will be implemented on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg and JLN Marg as needed. Heavy vehicles will be prohibited from entering Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg from Daryaganj and from Guru Nanak Chowk to Asaf Ali Road. Spectators are advised to avoid these routes during the specified hours.
Additionally, for passengers traveling to and from New Delhi Railway Station, it is recommended to plan their journeys in advance, considering potential heavy traffic on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg and ITO Chowk.
South Africa has already secured a spot in the semifinals, having won both of their Super-8 round matches, including a 76-run victory over India and a 9-wicket win against the West Indies. In contrast, Zimbabwe has been eliminated from semifinal contention and will aim to conclude the tournament with a win, as they have yet to achieve victory against South Africa in T20 format.
