Udaipur : The mother was going about her daily chores, unaware of the tragic news that had occurred 33 days earlier in Dubai—the sudden death of her sons. The family, too, was oblivious, but the villagers and relatives were preparing for the funeral. Some were transporting wood to the cremation ground, while others were organizing the final rites.
The plan was to keep the mother in the dark for as long as possible. The bodies had already reached Udaipur, but no one had the courage to break the news to the mother. Slowly, as the bodies approached the house, villagers began gathering outside. It was only an hour before the arrival of the bodies that the mother was told about the death of her sons. The news shattered her completely. To note, the bodies of three friends, who had gone to Dubai for work, were found in suspicious circumstances in a room on July 7. Forensic reports confirmed that they died from poisoning.
Family Members Fainted Upon Seeing the Bodies
Around 10:30 AM on Saturday, the bodies of Parsaram from Nadiyakhadi and Ramchandra from Chaylon Ka Kheda arrived, casting a pall of grief over the area. As soon as the bodies arrived, the family members fainted from shock. Their funerals were held that same morning. The third body, that of Shyamlal Gurjar from Gotipa, arrived later in the evening, and his funeral was conducted around 8:30 PM.
Village Exemplifies Social Unity
The mother was informed just an hour before that her sons were no longer alive. The village had borne the grief for a month but managed to keep the family unaware. During this period, the Vallabhnagar region set an example of social unity. Even though the father of the deceased Ramchandra had passed away years ago, the community stood as a pillar of support. The village endured the sorrow for a month but did not let the family know. In such a tragic situation, the villagers upheld traditional values, taking steps to protect the family, which reflects their cultural heritage.
