TCS Shares Rise on BSE After Strategic IT Partnership Announcement

Mumbai, January 23, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran): Shares of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) were trading higher on the BSE on Thursday. The stock was quoted at ₹3,185.45, up by ₹34.20 or 1.09 per cent, compared to its previous close of ₹3,151.25.

The scrip opened at ₹3,152.10 and moved between a high of ₹3,193.75 and a low of ₹3,152.10 during the trading session. A total of 42,222 shares were traded on the counter so far.

The BSE Group ‘A’ stock, with a face value of ₹1, had touched its 52-week high of ₹4,190.95 on January 23, 2025, while the 52-week low of ₹2,867.55 was recorded on October 1, 2025. Over the past week, the stock moved between a high of ₹3,219.90 and a low of ₹3,082.00. The company’s current market capitalisation stands at ₹11,52,017.16 crore.

Promoters currently hold a 71.77 per cent stake in the company, while institutional investors and non-institutional investors hold 23.24 per cent and 4.98 per cent respectively.

The stock gained momentum after TCS announced that it has been selected by Kalmar Oyj, a global leader in heavy material handling equipment and services, as its strategic IT partner. Under the partnership, TCS will lead a comprehensive IT service transformation for Kalmar.

As part of the collaboration, TCS will help establish a modern, integrated, AI-powered digital core IT foundation aimed at reducing costs and improving agility and operational efficiency. The company will also consolidate Kalmar’s IT landscape into a single integrated delivery model covering application maintenance and development, end-user services, and infrastructure along with hybrid cloud operations.

TCS will deploy an AI-driven operations framework and a unified command centre to improve observability, enhance service reliability, and reduce operational complexity across Kalmar’s global operations. Additionally, the partnership will focus on improving the digital experience of Kalmar’s 5,200 employees through AI-enabled human–machine collaboration, supporting continuous innovation and adaptability.
