Relief from Heatwave as Temperature Drops Across the State
Rajasthan is set to experience a major weather shift starting today (Thursday) as a Western Disturbance becomes active across the region. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert for thunderstorms, rain, and hailstorms in 14 districts, bringing much-needed relief from the scorching heat.

From March 14 to 16, many parts of the state will see cloud cover, light to moderate rainfall, and strong winds, leading to a drop in temperatures.
Weather Update: Thunderstorms & Rain to Hit Several Districts
The past 24 hours saw clear skies across Rajasthan, but mild cloud cover developed in some cities by the evening. A drop in temperatures on Wednesday provided some respite from the rising heat.

📍 Jaipur, Jodhpur, Ajmer, Alwar, Sikar, Pilani (Jhunjhunu), Churu, Dholpur, Sirohi, Mount Abu (Sirohi), Jhunjhunu, and surrounding areas.
Residents are advised to stay alert, as gusty winds, lightning, and sudden showers could impact normal life.
Barmer Records Hottest Temperature in Rajasthan
Despite the upcoming weather change, Rajasthan experienced extreme heat on Wednesday, with Barmer recording the highest temperature at 40.6°C.
