Jehanabad, August 12 (Udaipur Kiran): A tragic stampede occurred at Baba Siddhanath Temple (Vanavar Siddheshwar Dham) in Makhdoompur, Jehanabad district, Bihar, resulting in the deaths of seven people. At least nine others were reported injured in the incident.
Jehanabad District Magistrate Alankrita Pandey confirmed the incident. The stampede happened early Monday morning at sunrise. With the help of police officers and volunteers stationed at the temple, rescue operations are underway. The injured are being transported to the district hospital for treatment.
Jehanabad SHO Diwakar Kumar Vishwakarma stated that the District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police have arrived at the temple to assess the situation. The stampede has claimed seven lives. Some family members of the deceased and injured have arrived at the site, and officials are communicating with them.
