Jaipur, January 1 (Udaipur Kiran): The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday caught a senior assistant of the District Industries Centre (DIC), Sawai Madhopur, red-handed while accepting a bribe of ₹25,000. The accused has been identified as Suryaprakash Nama.

According to officials, the action was taken following a complaint received by the ACB, alleging that the accused had demanded a bribe in exchange for releasing subsidy and interest assistance under the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Dalit Entrepreneurship Scheme. The complainant stated that the accused was demanding ₹30,000 to process subsidy and interest benefits for three shops registered in the names of the complainant’s father and brothers.
After verification of the complaint on December 24, 2025, the demand was found to be genuine. During the verification process, the accused allegedly agreed to accept ₹25,000 as part of the bribe amount.
Acting under the supervision of Inspector General of Police, ACB Bharatpur Range, Rajesh Singh, a trap was laid by the ACB Sawai Madhopur unit. The accused was caught red-handed while accepting the bribe amount from the complainant.
Director General of Police, ACB, Smita Srivastava stated that further investigation is underway and necessary legal action will be taken against the accused under the provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
The case is being investigated thoroughly, and further proceedings are in progress.
