Western and Southwestern Winds Fuel Heat Surge

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), hot winds blowing from the west and southwest are responsible for the sudden temperature rise observed over the past three days. Areas like Prithvipur in Niwari and Khajuraho in Chhatarpur are currently facing the worst of the heat.

Weather officials predict a slight dip in temperatures over the next 2–3 days, but warn of potential heatwave conditions in early April as wind patterns shift again. Western disturbance activity is currently distant from the region, but may cause a marginal drop in mercury due to increased wind speeds.
