Samsung has showcased new features coming with One UI 7, particularly for the Galaxy Buds 3 series, while remaining silent on the much-anticipated public release of its Android 15-based update. Despite the beta phase lasting nearly three months, Samsung has yet to confirm a stable rollout timeline, leaving Galaxy users frustrated as One UI 7 remains exclusive to the Galaxy S25 series.
New One UI 7 Features for Galaxy Buds 3
One of the most notable changes in One UI 7 is the expansion of Galaxy Buds controls beyond the Galaxy Wearable app, making system-wide sound adjustments more accessible. Among the highlighted features:
✔ Quick Settings Integration: Users will be able to adjust sound profiles, noise cancellation, and other settings directly from the quick settings panel instead of relying solely on the Galaxy Wearable app.
✔ Per-App Sound Customization: Samsung has introduced the ability to adjust sound settings on a per-app basis, giving users greater control over audio experiences across different applications.
✔ “Adapt Sound” Feature: This new AI-driven feature tailors audio profiles for calls and videos based on the user’s preferences, optimizing clarity and sound quality.
✔ Enhanced Interpreter Mode: Samsung has also improved its real-time translation tool, making cross-language communication more seamless when using Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro.
These enhancements seem promising, but they remain exclusive to One UI 7, which, at this stage, is only available on the Galaxy S25 series.
One UI 7 Delay: No Clear Rollout Timeline
While Samsung continues to tease new features, the company has yet to provide any clarity on the widespread availability of One UI 7. The update, which has been in beta testing since late 2024, has seen multiple delays, leading to speculation about further postponements.
✔ Samsung’s latest post fails to address the delay, instead linking back to a December 2024 promotional article, further frustrating users eager for an update.
✔ Leaks suggest One UI 7’s stable rollout may not begin until mid-April, extending the wait for millions of Galaxy users.
✔ Meanwhile, Google is expected to release Android 16’s stable update in Q2 2025, putting Samsung behind schedule compared to other Android manufacturers.
Galaxy Buds 3 Pro Gets a Software Update
Alongside these announcements, Samsung has started rolling out a new update for the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, which is expected to support the upcoming One UI 7 features. The company previously introduced a new Buds control widget, hinting at deeper integration between One UI 7 and Samsung’s ecosystem.
