
New Delhi : RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat on Thursday visited a mosque here and met its chief imam.
Bhagwat met Dr Imam Umar Ahmed Ilyasi, Chief Imam of All India Imam Organisation at the mosque located at Kasturba Gandhi Marg on Thrusday. During the meeting, Indresh Kumar, patron of the Muslim Rashtriya Manch, was also with him.
Sunil Ambekar, the All India Prachar Pramukh of the Sangh, told about the meeting that Ilyasi Sahib had extended an invitation to Bhagwat several days ago. They travel continuously and interact with people from different regions. This meeting is also part of that sequence.
According to the information, after a mosque in Delhi, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat went to a madarsa in in Azad Market and met the children there.
Bhagwat had earlier on Tuesday met Rashtriya Lok Dal National Vice President Shahid Siddiqui, former Chief Election Commissioner SY Qureshi, former Governor Najeeb Jung, former Aligarh Muslim University vice-chancellor Jamiruddin Shah and businessman Sherwani.
