New Delhi, April 28 (Udaipur Kiran) – Delhi is set to witness widespread scheduled power cuts on Tuesday, April 28, due to major maintenance activities including transformer replacement, network upgradation, cable repairs, tree trimming, and preventive maintenance work across multiple electricity divisions. In several parts of the capital, electricity supply will remain disrupted for up to 4 hours.

The situation comes amid intense heat conditions in the city, where temperatures have been consistently crossing 40°C. The India Meteorological Department has also issued a heatwave alert for Delhi-NCR. While there is a possibility of light rain with thunder in the afternoon, it is unlikely to provide significant relief from the ongoing heat.
Electricity distribution companies have clarified that these maintenance works are necessary to ensure stable and uninterrupted power supply in the future.
