Realme 12 5G and Realme 12+ 5G are said to be in development and details about the new devices have leaked online just ahead of the launch of the Realme 12 Pro series in India. Two new Realme 12 series phones have been spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website, suggesting that they could be launched in the near future. The Realme 12+ 5G was also released on the Chinese MIIT certification website along with an image of the alleged phone.
The Realme 12 5G and Realme 12+ 5G are currently listed on the BIS website with model numbers RMX3868 and RMX38667 respectively. The listing published on January 24 does not reveal any specifications of the device. The appearance of the listing suggests that both Realme 12 models will launch in India soon. Readers may recall that the Realme 12 Pro model, which will launch in India on January 29, was spotted on the BIS website in mid-December.

Meanwhile, the Realme 12+ 5G was also spotted on the MIIT certification website with a slightly different model number (RMX38666). The listing on the Chinese regulator’s website also includes five images of a blue phone, offering a first look at its design.
The alleged back cover of the Realme 12 + 5G on the MIIT website shows that the device is similar to the Realme 12 Pro + 5G. The phone features a quad rear camera setup with LED flash. There is also a long metal strip in the middle of the phone that runs from top to bottom. The Realme brand is at the bottom left of the back.

Other images show the front of the phone as well as its left and right edges. The cutout details of the selfie camera are not visible, but the volume buttons and the power button can be seen on the right edge. The edges of the phone look smooth, but the images show rounded corners.
Realme has not yet announced any plans to launch the Realme 12 5G and Realme 12+ 5G in India and other markets, but we can expect the phones to be announced soon. Meanwhile, the company plans to launch the Realme 12 Pro series smartphones in India on January 29.
