Redmi K100 to Feature 200MP Camera, Not Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6

Mumbai, May 18: A recent leak has unveiled crucial specifications of the upcoming Redmi K100, set to launch in the fourth quarter of 2026. The information, shared by the reputable tipster Digital Chat Station, is anticipated to be reliable based on previous accurate disclosures.

According to the leak, the Redmi K100 will sport a 6.59-inch flat display with a 1.5K resolution and a high refresh rate. Instead of the anticipated Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, the device is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s current flagship, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.

On the camera front, the Redmi K100 is rumored to include a 200MP main camera, complemented by a telephoto lens. Additionally, the device is said to house an impressive 8000mAh battery with support for 100W fast charging and wireless charging capabilities.

Other expected features include IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance, a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, and symmetrical dual speakers.

Earlier reports from the same source hinted at a more advanced model, the Redmi K100 Pro Max, which may utilize the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and boast an upgraded camera system with a 200MP main sensor, a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera. This model is also speculated to be globally rebranded as the POCO F9 Ultra.

Furthermore, another leak indicates that Xiaomi is developing an additional device in the Redmi K100 series featuring a 7-inch display with 2K resolution and a massive 10,000mAh+ battery. This model is expected to include premium features such as an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor, a metal frame, and an IP68/IP69-rated chassis.

The Redmi K100 series is likely to debut in China around October 2026, with global versions under the POCO brand expected to follow in early 2027. As with all early leaks, these specifications should be approached with caution, as final retail versions may differ from the initial reports.
