‘Soldier died in the line of duty’
Udaipur : The residents of Shekhawas village in Bhim tehsil of Rajsamand district mourned the loss of their son Parvej Kathat (5 Granadiers) who died during patrolling in Kashmir on Thursday early morning.
The news of his death sent the entire area into mourning and relatives, friends went to his home to comfort his inconsolable family. Parvej’s father Mangu Kathat too had retired from the army and his elder brother Iqbal is also presently posted in Kashmir region, sources said.
“We have received the news of death of the soldier during patrolling on Thursday morning, however, we are yet to receive complete details of the cause of death. His body is expected to reach his ancestral home on Friday” Collector Arvind Poswal told Udaipur Kiran. Villagers remember 29-year old Parvej as a cheerful youth who always wore a smile on his face. Inspired by his father and brother, Parvej too had been determined since his school days to serve the nation and he had joined the army in 2009.
