JAIPUR – Several parts of Rajasthan experienced a sudden weather shift late last night due to the influence of a western disturbance. Cities including Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Nagaur, and Bikaner witnessed cloud cover, light showers, and gusty winds, bringing a temporary relief from the rising heat. However, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted clear skies and stable weather conditions across the state starting today.

Sudden Weather Change Hits 8 Districts
According to the Jaipur Meteorological Centre, clouds began forming late Thursday evening, followed by drizzles in at least 8 districts including Jaisalmer, Bikaner, Nagaur, Sikar, Jaipur, and Ajmer. Western Rajasthan also reported strong winds in isolated pockets. Prior to the rainfall, most regions experienced clear skies and high daytime temperatures.
The highest temperatures were recorded in Barmer and Chittorgarh, both hitting 37°C, indicating that summer conditions are firmly setting in.
Weather to Remain Clear Till End of March
The IMD’s two-week forecast indicates no rainfall expected till the end of March across Rajasthan. Daytime temperatures are likely to rise by 2–3°C, while minimum and maximum temperatures are expected to remain near seasonal averages. The department also highlighted temperature fluctuations in the coming week but ruled out any major weather disturbances during this period.
