Jodhpur, March 26 – In a devastating road accident late Tuesday night, a speeding dumper collided head-on with a Swift car near Chaba village in Shergarh police station limits, Phalodi, Rajasthan. The impact of the crash left the car completely mangled and claimed the lives of three people, including a husband and wife, while two others, including a child, sustained injuries.

Victims Identified, Child Among Injured
According to Shergarh Police, the deceased have been identified as:

Ajay Kumar, resident of Subhash Nagar, Karanpura (Hanumangarh), and a clerk in a government department in Rajmathai

The injured include Girdhariram, son of Bhanwarlal from Dungargarh (Bikaner), who was critically injured and has been referred to Jodhpur for advanced treatment. A young child in the car suffered minor injuries and is reported to be out of danger.
Horrific Crash Near Petrol Pump, Driver Flees Scene
The tragic accident occurred near a petrol pump in Chaba village, when the victims were traveling from Hanumangarh and Bikaner via Jaisalmer to Jodhpur. As their car reached the Shergarh region, a speeding dumper approaching from the opposite direction crashed into the vehicle.
The collision was so intense that the car was completely destroyed, leaving the occupants trapped inside. The dumper driver fled the scene immediately after the crash.
Rescue Operations and Police Action
Locals, upon hearing the loud crash, rushed to the scene and immediately informed the police. With the help of residents, Shergarh police pulled the victims out of the wreckage. Emergency medical aid was administered on-site, and the injured were transported to nearby medical facilities.
A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway. Police are currently searching for the absconding dumper driver. The accident has raised concerns about overspeeding and reckless driving on rural highways in Rajasthan.
