Jaipur, April 26 — Rajasthan experienced dramatic weather changes on Saturday afternoon due to the impact of a western disturbance. Storms with winds up to 50km/h hit several cities including Churu and Ganganagar. In Jalore there were hailstorms and rain, while Sawai Madhopur saw light showers. Clouds blanketed Jaipur and Tonk with wind-laden dust, providing a respite from the summer heat. Around 4:30 pm, the weather in Jalore deteriorated with an hour-long period of high winds, followed by 10-15 minutes of rain. In villages like Devki, and Vedia of Ahor there were reports of hail. No major injuries were reported. The storm caused some fires to break out in Nainwa, Kapren and other cities. Some incidents of fire outbreaks during the storm were also reported, adding to the chaos.
