Rajasthan Extends School Holidays Due to Severe Cold Wave

Udaipur Kiran: In response to the ongoing severe cold wave in RAJASTHAN, authorities have extended school holidays and adjusted school timings in several districts across the state.

The temperature has been steadily dropping, accompanied by intense cold and dense fog, affecting daily life. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued red, orange, and yellow warnings related to the cold wave for 11 districts. According to IMD forecasts, relief from the cold is expected only after January 14 and 15.

For the safety and health of students, new directives have been issued for different districts covering January 12 and 13.

In Jaipur, schools for students up to the fifth grade will remain closed on January 12 and 13. Classes for grades 9 to 12 will operate from 10 am to 4 pm starting January 14.

In Nagaur, schools up to the fifth grade will be closed on January 12 and 13. Dausa has declared holidays for all students up to the eighth grade starting January 12.

Sikar will suspend classes for grades one to five, while Jalore will keep schools closed for students up to the fifth grade from January 12 to 14. Jhunjhunu has extended holidays for students from grades one to eight until January 13.

In Jhalawar and Junagadh, classes for students up to the fifth grade will remain closed on January 12 and 13. Dungarpur has declared holidays for students up to the eighth grade on Monday.

Hanumangarh has announced holidays for students up to the eighth grade on Monday, with an additional holiday on Tuesday due to Lohri celebrations. Schools will reopen on January 14.

Ajmer schools for students up to the twelfth grade will operate from 10 am to 4 pm until further notice.

Churu has declared holidays for students up to the eighth grade on Monday. All schools in the Jodhpur division will function from 10 am to 4 pm.

Authorities have urged parents to ensure their children wear adequate winter clothing and to stay updated with official announcements issued by their respective districts.
