Bhopal, October 24 (Udaipur Kiran) — The weather across Madhya Pradesh has changed due to the impact of a low-pressure area active over southern India. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast rain in nine districts of the state on Friday, with the system expected to remain effective for the next three days.
According to the IMD, light rain and thunderstorms are likely in nearly half of the state between October 25 and 27. The weather system, originating from the southeast Arabian Sea, is gradually moving toward the northeast, which will increase its influence across Madhya Pradesh over the next 24 hours.
In the past 24 hours, light rainfall was recorded in Chhindwara, Barwani, Burhanpur, Khargone, Chhatarpur, Ashoknagar, Narmadapuram, Dhar, and Satna. Several parts of the state, including Bhopal, remained cloudy.
The IMD has predicted light rain for Friday in Barwani, Khargone, Khandwa, Burhanpur, Harda, Narmadapuram, Betul, Chhindwara, and Pandhurna. Daytime temperatures have dropped slightly across the state. The maximum temperature in Bhopal was recorded at 31.9°C, Indore at 32°C, Ujjain at 34°C, Gwalior at 33.8°C, and Jabalpur at 31.9°C.
Districts such as Betul, Bhopal, Datia, Guna, Khandwa, Khargone, Shivpuri, Damoh, Jabalpur, Rewa, Satna, Sidhi, and Umaria also reported mild drops in day temperatures. Meanwhile, night temperatures continue to fluctuate, preventing any significant cold conditions so far.
