Amritsar, May 31: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for seven districts in Punjab today, warning of light rain and gusty winds, especially in areas bordering Himachal Pradesh. Following Thursday’s showers and strong winds, the state has witnessed a significant drop in temperatures, with the average maximum temperature falling by 3.2°C, bringing relief from the intense summer heat.
