Sawai Madhopur, December 8 : Congress General Secretary and Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, along with her son Rehan Vadra, experienced the thrill of a wildlife safari in the Ranthambore Tiger Reserve on Saturday. Their three-hour-long safari followed the movements of tigress Riddhi and her cub Mahi, offering an exciting glimpse of the majestic big cats in their natural habitat.

Exciting Safari Experience
Accompanied by wildlife expert and guide Vijay Singh Meena, Priyanka Gandhi’s safari began in the second slot on Saturday afternoon in the park’s Zone-3. During the safari, Priyanka and Rehan spotted tigress Riddhi and her cub Mahi. A dramatic moment unfolded as Mahi attempted to hunt a cheetal (spotted deer), showcasing the raw beauty of wildlife.
The safari began around 3 PM when Priyanka Gandhi and her son departed from their hotel. They are expected to continue their wildlife exploration on Sunday as well.
Thrilling Tiger Encounters
The safari also provided visitors, including Priyanka Gandhi, a rare opportunity to witness the interaction between Riddhi and Mahi. While Mahi was seen attempting to hunt a cheetal, Riddhi pursued a sambar deer. Earlier in the day, Rehan Vadra went on a safari with his friends but was unable to spot any tigers.
A Passion for Wildlife Photography
Rehan Vadra, an avid wildlife photography enthusiast, is no stranger to Ranthambore. During a previous visit in November, Priyanka and her family had observed tigress Arrowhead and her three cubs for nearly 25 minutes. Rehan captured stunning photographs of the encounter, some of which were later showcased in a wildlife photography exhibition.
Ranthambore’s Tiger Legacy
Spread across 1,700 square kilometers, Ranthambore National Park is home to approximately 75 tigers, tigresses, and cubs, exceeding its ideal tiger population capacity of 50. The reserve provides each tiger with a territory of around 35 square kilometers, making it one of India’s premier destinations for tiger sightings.
