Chandigarh, June 10: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini has congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the completion of his 12-year tenure as the Prime Minister of India, marking a total of 4,399 days in office. In a letter addressed to the Prime Minister, Saini expressed gratitude for the various projects and initiatives that have been introduced in Haryana, referring to it as Modi’s “karma bhoomi” (workplace).

In his letter, Saini stated, “On behalf of the nearly three crore people of Haryana, I extend heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to you on the completion of your 12 years in office. This occasion is a moment of respect and admiration for you. Today, you stand as the longest-serving elected and popular Prime Minister in India’s democratic history.”

Saini reminisced about Modi’s campaign launch in Rewari on September 15, 2013, during a rally for ex-servicemen, emphasizing the strong bond between the Prime Minister and the people of Haryana. He noted that Haryana has always stood at the forefront of nation-building, with its brave soldiers, hardworking farmers, talented athletes, and diligent youth contributing to the country’s pride.

The Chief Minister highlighted the significant impact of Modi’s governance in Haryana, mentioning initiatives such as providing homes to homeless families, ensuring smoke-free kitchens for mothers and sisters, and delivering government assistance to the needy without discrimination. He praised the digital technology used to directly benefit eligible individuals through various schemes.

Saini pointed out that Haryana has been a special place for Modi, who has visited the state 17 times as Prime Minister, showering love and support on its residents. He acknowledged the development projects initiated by Modi, including the construction of 1,390 kilometers of national highways, which have connected every district in the state.

He also mentioned the financial assistance provided under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, and the Ujjwala Yojana, which have significantly benefited farmers and women in Haryana. Over 1.56 lakh poor families have received permanent housing under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.

Saini concluded by stating that a leader’s identity is shaped not just by decisions but also by their personality, work ethic, and values. He expressed pride in Haryana’s adherence to the timeless tradition of respect and gratitude towards the Prime Minister.
