PIMS Hospital Successfully Performs Eye Retina Surgery With Green Laser

Udaipur. Doctors at Pacific Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS Hospital) Umarda have successfully performed eye retina surgery using green laser.

PIMS Hospital Chairman Ashish Aggarwal said that Dr. Nitin Singh, Head of the Department of Ophthalmology, and his team member Dr. Sandhya Nagda recently performed green laser on several patients and saved their retinas from getting damaged due to diabetes.

Pan Retinal Photocoagulation (PRP) is a surgery performed to improve blood circulation to the retina. This process uses special green laser beams that shrink the retina. This procedure is commonly performed to treat diabetic retinopathy or other retinal problems.
