Mumbai, February 23: Netflix India has released a special 7.09-minute video titled ‘Desi Dads Being Wild for 7 Minutes Straight’ on its YouTube channel. The video features various clips of actors portraying father figures in blockbuster Bollywood films.
In the video description, Netflix states, “If you are bad, then I am your father… Watch the funniest moments of desi dads featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Kartik Aaryan, Janhvi Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Paresh Rawal, Manoj Pahwa, and many other stars. A fun compilation that shows how fathers can rule both home and the comedy world.”
The compilation includes clips of father roles from films such as ‘Dangal’, ‘Mili’, ‘Sukhi’, ‘Goodbye’, ‘Lapata Ladies’, ‘Shehzada’, ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’, and ‘The Bads of Bollywood’. Within hours of its release, the video garnered thousands of views, likes, and comments.
Viewers are enjoying the diverse bonds and personalities of fathers and children showcased in the video. It begins with a scene from Aamir Khan’s hit film ‘Dangal’, depicting his disciplined father role.
Following that, a clip from ‘Goodbye’ features Amitabh Bachchan as an angry father. The third film, ‘Shehzada’, presents Paresh Rawal as a miserly father, while ‘The Bads of Bollywood’ showcases an overprotective dad.
In the fourth film, ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’, Boney Kapoor is portrayed as the ‘always right father’. Manoj Pahwa’s character in ‘Mili’ is depicted as an overly emotional and soft-hearted dad. The sixth film, ‘Sukhi’, shows a father who is oblivious to his child’s needs and thoughts. Lastly, ‘Lapata Ladies’ features a wise father who provides timely advice and support to his son.
