Jaipur, February 23, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran) – Acting on directions from the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Headquarters, the ACB unit in Sawai Madhopur on Monday caught Dr Battilal Meena, Block Chief Medical Officer, Subdivision Gangapur City, district Sawai Madhopur, red-handed while accepting a bribe of ₹25,000 from a complainant.

According to Director General of Police, Anti-Corruption Bureau, Govind Gupta, the ACB outpost in Sawai Madhopur had received a complaint alleging that the accused officer was demanding ₹30,000 to post the complainant back to his original place of posting from a temporary arrangement posting. During verification, ₹5,000 was allegedly accepted, and the remaining ₹25,000 was taken on Monday.
Under the supervision of Deputy Inspector General of Police, ACB Bharatpur Range, Dr Rameshwar Singh, and led by Additional Superintendent of Police, ACB Sawai Madhopur, Gyan Singh Chaudhary, the ACB team conducted a trap operation. Dr Battilal Meena was detained on the spot while accepting the bribe amount of ₹25,000 from the complainant.
Further questioning and proceedings are underway under the supervision of Additional Director General of Police, ACB, Smita Srivastava, and Inspector General of Police, Rajesh Singh. The ACB has registered a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act and further investigation is in progress.
