Motorola Edge 50 will launch in India next month. The company announced the launch and availability details of the phone along with its design, color options and key features. The upcoming smartphone is said to be the world’s slimmest MIL-810H certified phone with Sony LYTIA 700C camera sensor and IP68 certified construction. The entry-level Edge 50 joins the other models in the range, namely the Motorola Edge 50 Pro, Edge 50 Ultra and Edge 50 Fusion. These types are currently available for purchase in the country.

A Flipkart microsite for the phone has also been launched, revealing the phone’s design, color options and key features. It appears to have a similar design to the Motorola Edge 50 Pro. The Motorola Edge 50 also features a triple camera unit on the back. It has been confirmed that it will be available in three colors: Forest Green and Pantone Peach with a vegetable leather cover and Koala Gray with a vegan suede cover.
Features of the Motorola Edge 50
The Motorola Edge 50 features a 6.67-inch 1.5K 3D curved POLED display with a maximum brightness of 1900 nits and an intelligent water touch function. This device is equipped with a 4nm 1st generation Snapdragon 7 chip. The 256GB storage version of this phone is said to support virtual RAM expansion. This phone supports 3 years of operating system upgrades and 4 years of security updates.
As for optics, the Motorola Edge 50 will come with a 50-megapixel Son-Lytia 700C primary sensor with Moto AI capabilities. The camera also includes a 10-megapixel telephoto camera and a 13-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens. The front camera will be equipped with a 32-megapixel sensor.
The Motorola Edge 50 is powered by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 68W TurboPower wired and 15W wireless charging. The phone also comes with IP68 dust and water resistance and MIL-810H certification. For security reasons, it is equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor.
