Nagpur : On Independence Day, the national flag was unfurled at the headquarters of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh at 8 am on Monday. Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat hoisted the tricolour. On the occasion, Mahanagar Sanghchalak Rajesh Loya was present.
At the Sangh Headquarters, the Independence Day celebrations were organised at 9 a.m. in the Dr. Hedgewar Memorial Temple complex located at Reshambagh. Here, Nagpur Metropolitan Co-Sanghachalak Shridhar Gadge hoisted the flag. The Bharat Mata Puja was also done before the flag hoisting at both these places.
At 5 pm on Monday, Ravindra Bokare, the caretaker of Nagpur metropolis, informed that on the nectar festival of independence, there will be a movement of volunteers in Nagpur metropolis. This path movement starts from the union headquarters located in the Mahal area of Nagpur.
Darodkar Chowk, Gandhi effigy, Gandhi Bagh Udyan, Golibar Chowk, Triveni Pad Chowk, Lal Imli Chowk, Bharat Mata Chowk, Teen Nal Chowk, Nanga Putla Chowk, Bhavsar Chowk, and Chitar Oli will reach the union Headquarters back via Bakas Chowk.
