HOISTING OF NATIONAL FLAG AT AIR FORCE STATION JODHPUR AND MEHRANGARH FORT ON 76TH INDEPENDENCE DAY AS A PART OF ‘AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV’

Jaipur : As part of the celebration of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’, Air Commodore Prajual Singh Vayu Sena Medal, Air Officer Commanding Air Force Station Jodhpur hoisted the National Flag with full honours on 15 Aug 22 at 0730h at Air Force Station Jodhpur. All personnel of the station and their families participated with full zeal and patriotic fervour.

To commemorate the historical bond and close association between the erstwhile Maharaja of Marwad, Umaid Singh Ji, who established Jodhpur Flying Club in 1931 and also the Air Force Station Jodhpur, the National Flag was also hoisted at the historical Mehrangarh Fort. The event was attended by a contingent of 50 air warriors of Air Force Station Jodhpur along with various civil dignitaries and the staff of Mehrangarh Fort.

In honour of the National Flag, the Mehrangarh Fort band played the national anthem and an impressive armed salute was presented by the air warriors in a fervent patriotic environment.
