Udaipur, October 15 (Udaipur Kiran) : A significant operation targeting illegal drug cultivation took place in Udaipur’s Mandwa village, where a joint team from the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in Jodhpur, the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) of Rajasthan, and local police destroyed approximately 1.33 lakh illegal cannabis plants spread over 57 hectares. The estimated yield from this operation is around 39,900 kilograms of cannabis, valued at nearly ₹199.50 crore.

The NCB received a tip-off from the ANTF regarding the illegal cannabis farming in Mandwa. Upon arriving at the site, the team, accompanied by the local deputy police superintendent and a land record officer, verified the land, which was found to encompass 56 khasra numbers.

During the thorough search of the area, the extensive cultivation was uncovered, leading to the destruction of the plants. The operation involved about 70 personnel from the NCB, ANTF, and Rajasthan police, along with 10 laborers, utilizing three tractors to facilitate the process. The entire operation was conducted in the presence of the deputy police superintendent, the land record officer, the joint team, and independent witnesses.
