According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), a heatwave is expected to grip the state between March 27 and 31, especially in the Malwa and Nimar regions.

Ratlam and Narmadapuram Among Hottest
On Monday, Ratlam continued to be the hottest district for the second consecutive day with a maximum temperature of 39.2°C, followed closely by Narmadapuram at 38.9°C. Other districts also saw significant heat levels:

The Malwa and Nimar belts, particularly Indore, Ujjain, Ratlam, Khargone, Khandwa, and Dhar, are expected to bear the brunt of the heat. These regions may experience heatwave conditions (loo) between March 27 and March 31 as dry hot winds intensify across central India.
Tuesday and Wednesday (March 25–26) are likely to see clear skies and sharp sunlight, further escalating the heat. Health officials and the weather department are advising people to take precautions and limit exposure to outdoor activities during peak afternoon hours.
